Specialist training in the management of sporting entities
The great physical and mental dedication required in professional sport means that sportsmen and women can find it hard to combine their activities with the necessary academic training to adequately build their future.
Students and professionals who combine their profession with their passion for sport consider the pursuit of business in this sector to be a very interesting avenue for growth.
Aware of this situation, Centro de Estudios Garrigues, Garrigues Sports & Entertainment and the Spanish National Professional Football League, in collaboration with the Sports High Council, have designed the Executive Program in Sports Management, a training program specialized in sporting entity management.
The main aim of the program is to provide an overall understanding of the sports industry and of the essential business aspects to enable individuals to develop their professional careers, whether independently or as part of any organization operating in the sports industry.
The course structure is based on four main modules covering the most important aspects of the program: the sports industry; sports marketing and communication, legal aspects of the sports industry; and financial aspects.
Taking a very practical approach, the course will also offer a module on specific cases, seeking solutions to real situations that come up in the management of sporting entities.
The program will be taught by renowned professionals from the sporting, legal and business communities, with the standard of teaching required by Centro de Estudios Garrigues. Classes will run from October to May, with a total duration of 120 hours, and will be taught on Thursdays from 17.30 to 21.00.
The student with the highest grade will receive a special award and a scholarship to study one of the specialist programs at Centro de Estudios Garrigues. The top two students will also be able to do an internship at the end of the program at one of the clubs affiliated to the Spanish National Professional Football League.
