A great night for Rock & Law: an audience of over 1,400 and 45,000 euros raised for charity
Over 1,400 people enjoyed the festive atmosphere of the fifth Rock & Law charity concert held last night in Barcelona, which raised almost 45,000 euros to be donated in full to the Cuidam project run by Hospital Sant Joan de Déu.
This initiative aims to provide specialist medical treatment to children all over the world who are unable to receive it locally. The leaders of the project estimate that the proceeds raised from ticket sales and sponsors will fund treatment for three children.
The concert, which was presented by Elsa Anka, Gisela Lladó and Octavi Pujades, featured our own band, JC & The Dealbreakers, which treated the audience to some of the best rock and roll hits from its repertoire. Other groups from major national and international law firms that took part in this initiative included Control de Cambios (CMS Almiñana & Suárez de Lezo); Mind the G&AP (Gómez-Acebo & Pombo), Porfinviernes (Roca Junyent), Sujetos activos (Uría Menéndez), The Rocking Houses (Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira) and TheLawSuits (Baker & McKenzie and Clifford Chance). Both musical talent and compassion were in plentiful supply on Rock & Law’s big night.
For anyone who was unable to attend, it’s not too late to offer your support. The deadline for donations, which can be made by buying “row 0 tickets”, is midnight on Monday June 15.
